It has been confirmed that Solar PV is to contribute to EPC certificates and the proposed requirement to have a C or above before a house can qualify for the FIT Tariff has now been scrapped. This requirement has been changed to a D or above and that also means that some properties that were an E could be elevated to an EPC ‘D’ if they have Solar PV installed, which means that many more properties will be suitable.
